Just when you thought it was safe
Just when you thought it was safe. What would life be if it didn't throw you a few curveballs now and then? Sometimes you happen to be on the mound, throwing them and other times you are behind the plate, acting as a human backstop. You might even be the upmire, trying to make the calls, still you might be the batter taking a pitch to the helmet. I just spoke with someone who I think feels like the batter. He thought he was the umpire, and truly was. I am now more sure of his strength and courage -- and most certainly his heart. I am honored that someone who is so strong and together had he felt he could confide in me. Thank You.
