Happy Birthday if you are 3. If you are 3, then you get to jump in a bounce house, eat cake and open presents. If you are 35, you get to watch someone jump in the bounce house, watch someone eat cake and watch someone open presents... everyone gets to eat cake and jump in the bounce house.

If you are 35 and smart, you take it all in. Watch the kids on the swings, play a game of hide and seek and hold someone's hand. If you are really smart, you remember those moments when life gets complicated.

It is amazing to see the daughters of my friends. We weren't more than kids ourselves when we first met, at least it seems that way now. We were a whole lot younger then... 35 was the furthest thing from mind. Now how about this? I've learned a whole lot. Like gumball machines make awesome presents.
