thank you my friend

I am pretty sure that I will be the only person interested in what I have to say... I guess I am truly jealous of anyone that has their 15 minutes of fame (read: reality television shows), but I cannot be edited by big corporations to fit their story lines. I would say or sell their products, but maybe I can get a sponsor.

INDY!

Yes, we were among the wet and bummed at the Indy 500 this year. Didn't even stay after the red flag. You know why? There will be another Indy 500 next year. Last year it was hotter than blazes, this year it rained. Go figure. We did have a great time with the guys though. Would be fun if we could get more!

So now life is a little bit more the way that it should be. I would like to get a few things accomplished this summer. Rock band going, lose 25 lbs and have a great vacation with DB.

The Light at the End of the Tunnel is Not a Train

Let's say that the past 30 days or whatever have been a blur. Maybe it has been longer, maybe it hasn't been. Whatever. I will say this, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it isn't a train. At least I don't think that it is. It might be, but I don't think so.

We have the Indy 500 this weekend. We'll meet up with two of my cousins on Saturday morning and spend the day catching up, eating bratwurst and having a few cold ones. I really look forward to it, yes I like the race, but mostly I like hanging out with my relatives. I wish that everyone could go, but hey that's what Irish Fest is for, right?

I am looking forward to summer, to grow a bit. But also to slow down a lot. I have not spent the time with the people that mean the most to me. Friends, family, my priorities have got to get back in line. They will, starting Wednesday night.

Fantasy Baseball

One minute you are on top, the next you are done. Mind you, while not paying attention I was in first place. Start to make a few moves and done... then having dudes that are playing on the bench and dudes playing who are not playing. Well, that's just plain stupid.

My Rock Band

I like my rock band. It's been a lot of fun. We play songs that are fun and that we like. Hope that other people like them too. My friend Paul is a great supporter. His band is what I am trying to use as a benchmark. They've been at it for a few years. Hope we get to where they are someday.

The World's Worst (Non) Blogging Person

So, it's been since April 22nd since I let any stupid stuff come out of my head and into "cyber space." What a loser. It's easy to blog and here I haven't even done anything since the Sawzall incident. So what's happened in between now and then? Well I guess there has been plenty, but nothing worth taking up a bunch of 0s and 1s for. We continue to struggle with our yard. Talk about feeling like an old person and the kind of dork I never thought I would be. My lawn and yard consume a lot of my thoughts. I also cringed as I told someone today that I was at the first Lalapalooza show... what a dork I am. Especially since the person was likely 14 years younger than me. Why not just announce that I am just months away from 35 and clinging to no sense of reality by wishing that I was 10 years younger. So whatever. I need to lose about 25 pounds and I will feel pretty good. I even had rice cakes and a turkey sandwich tonight. I guess that I would rather take in nasty calories on beer and chocolate rather than fries and stuff. That's a lie. I'd rather not. I also started a bit of a walking deal. Even dorkier. Only old people have to do things like that.
