thank you my friend

I am pretty sure that I will be the only person interested in what I have to say... I guess I am truly jealous of anyone that has their 15 minutes of fame (read: reality television shows), but I cannot be edited by big corporations to fit their story lines. I would say or sell their products, but maybe I can get a sponsor.

Since June 13th?

Just horrible. I can't hardly stand that I haven't posted anything since June 13. Well, here we are. We did a lot of moving, I did some work travel and now I am on vacation.

I hope you didn't think that I had stopped... I didn't, it was just interupted. Right now I am taking a break from oven cleaner fumes, degreasing fumes and the vaccuum cleaner. Today I am cleaning up our place in Williams Bay.

It's amazing when you think that you are done, you are not done. Unreal, I don't want to do anymore, but I know that I should. It's just that I don't want to.

I will keep going and do as well as I can for as long as I can. Cleaning is not my most favorite thing to do, especially when it isn't any fun.

I own one of these now. I just retired my 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. The Pontiac was in need of new tires, new brakes and it had over 172,000 miles on it.

I loved every Pontiac that I have owned. I have owned three. I had a 1986 Pontiac 6000 LE. It had 60,000 miles when I acquired it. I retired it with over 200,000 miles. I had a 199? Pontiac Sunbird that died an early death due to a chunky transmission. Then the Green Ghost. Again, I bought it with 60,000 miles and figured that it has lived out its useful life. Plus, the windows were freaky.

So now, I have this lovely blue Scion. I have a crush on my car.

Moving

Well, we are finally to the point of moving. We have spent almost the last month packing and cleaning and painting and prepping. We moved stuff for almost 12 hours on Saturday and more to come. Right now our place is pretty empty. We are at the point where most of what is here is only here because we didn't think to throw it away already.

Stanley Cup Finals are on TV... go Edmonton.

Frustrated Incorporated

I am very frustrated today. Sometimes people (myself WAY included) don't think about the ramifications that our actions and/or decisions can have on other people. I am frustrated by the impact that they can have on themselves as well. I want things to go smoothly and I try to avoid confrontation at all costs. I can't really stand it to tell you the truth. I just don't have the stomach for it anymore. I used to not be happy unless I made someone else as miserable as I was. I learned that isn't the way to go. Don't use that as the first and only defense. I always try to think of I how I would feel if someone were to treat me that way. Who wants their day ruined? At any rate... today has been frustrating. Tomorrow will be better. Look at the bright side... Yeah, the bright side.

Hard to Think About Much Else

Did you know that I can obsess about things? If you are DB, I bet you did know that. Right now it is hard for me to think about anything else but our house. I do wish that I would have taken vacation now. I still can, that isn't an issue. I guess I just thought that things would be moving along. They are. Now, it's our "lake home" that needs attention. And we actually have to move things. Likely more energy than I have, at least right now.

Fun Even When the Brewers Lose

Today was a fun day even though the Brewers lost. Today I was able to spend a little bit of time with a person that I don't normally see on a social basis. It was fun, we had a lot of laughs. So even though the Brewers lost, I had fun.

After the game, on to Conejito's Place for enchiladas. It's good food, a good atmosphere and you can't get any more reasonable on the prices, friend. We had a bottle of salsa that was seething on us... very interesting.

We drove over the Hoan Bridge and then down Layton Avenue to Kopp's for custard. I truly enjoyed my scoop of chocolate. YUM-O.

The drive home was a barrel of monkeys...

We have carpet coming on Monday, so I am off for the day and I will be on Tuesday if they aren't done on Monday.

The Red Stripe Beer commercial was just on. Hooray Beer! Hooray Responsibility! Hooray Red Stripe Commercial! I love them!

Stanley Cup Finals begin on Monday night. I have to root for the Edmonton Oilers and Chris Pronger. He's the Man.

Paint

We have done a lot of painting. Now we are at home (apartment) and we were here before 10:00pm. Pulp Fiction is on and I just are three truffles with a peanut butter chaser.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. Furniture. Celebrating.

Our friends from down the road were kind enough to loan us their Element for the next week while they are out of town and we will be moving... nice, huh?

I haven't blogged since Monday on account of every night we have been painting and working.

Soon we'll be done with all that and my blogging can resume to its normal pattern.
