thank you my friend

I am pretty sure that I will be the only person interested in what I have to say... I guess I am truly jealous of anyone that has their 15 minutes of fame (read: reality television shows), but I cannot be edited by big corporations to fit their story lines. I would say or sell their products, but maybe I can get a sponsor.

Mark Messier Retires

Mark Messier has retired. Again, a great player is forced to leave the game without the benefit of the fanfare and acclaim that he deserves. Messier is a tremendous player and has won a number of Stanley Cups. When I think of Messier, I think that he is the ultimate teammate. This is the end of an era friends. We're lucky that Yzerman will be around for another year. Her's not long for the league. Think of it, the whole season was lost and we didn't get to give the Mess the send off that he deserves. one of the most remarkable stats i think basically ever:

    all time NHL points leaders:

    6. Steve Yzerman 1721
    5. Marcel Dionne 1771
    4. Ron Francis 1795
    3. Gordie Howe 1850
    2. Mark Messier 1887

    1. Wayne Gretzky 2857

shows a. just how amazing a player Mess was and 2. how Gretzky was basically on a different planet

sure hope that you feel better, get some restins now & thanks for your words

Wow, that's a shame. I remember watching Messier and the rest of the Oilers win the cup back in 1982 (I think it was 82). That was a fantastic series. Messier was one of my favourite players. It really is a shame he doesn't get more of a sendoff.
